Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a recipe for the absolute best easy chocolate chip cookies and they are really, very easy! These cookies come out soft with a velvety texture and always go very quickly. I would recommend two batches at one time (just double the recipe). You will never use your old chocolate chip recipe again!

Ingredients for easy chocolate chip cookies:

2 1/4 Cup White Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Cup (2 stick) butter, room temperature
3/4 Cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 Cup white sugar
1 - 4 Oz package of Instant pudding and pie filling (any flavor will do, we like the
white chocolate the best)

2 Large eggs
1 Teaspoon pure vanilla
1 - 12 Oz package of chocolate chips

What cooking utensils will I need?

One medium mixing bowl
Spatula
Cookie sheet(s)
One large mixing bowl and hand mixer
Or
Stand mixer

First thing to do:

Preheat oven to 375 F
Lay out cookie sheets (no need to grease)

Prepare your easy chocolate chip cookie batter:

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

In a medium mixing bowl, add flour and baking soda
Mix dry ingredients slightly with spatula
In large mixing bowl or stand mixer bowl, add butter, brown sugar, pudding mix, white sugar and vanilla
Cream together (mixing speed at medium) until smooth and creamy
Add eggs and mix together well
Using the spatula scrape down the sides of the bowl
Slowly mix in the dry ingredients (about 1/4 of your dry mixture at a time)
Mix well after every addition of dry ingredients
Stir in your chocolate chips with you spatula or large spoon, batter should be thick
Spoon a scoop of batter onto the cookie trays (keep the batter about 2 inches from each other and the sides of the sheet)
Note: On my large cookie sheet, I can fit 12 cookies
Bake in preheated oven at 375 F for 8-10 minutes (I cook them for 8 minutes and 30 seconds)
While the first batch of cookies is in the oven, start another tray
Pull out the finished cookies and let cool for 2 minutes, scrape the cookies off and place on a cooling rack

Important notes for you:

Baked goods continue to bake for an additional 2-3 minutes after you remove them from the oven. My recommendation: I bake for 7 minutes on this recipe and they come out perfect! The perfect easy sugar cookie recipe!

Recommendation: Use at least two cookie sheets when baking so as you pull one out of the oven you can place the next in right away – no need to wait for your first cookie sheet to cool down!

I always double this recipe as it is a favorite

Things you can change in this recipe: Use chocolate pudding mix with peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips and butterscotch pudding mix…so many choices!

You can also add walnuts into the batter if you would like
