Ingredients for Spare Ribs:
Pork Spare ribs (bone-in or boneless, I did bone-in)
Salt, just to season the meat
Your favorite BBQ sauce
Kitchen Utensils needed:
- NuWave Oven
- Basting brush
- Small bowl for BBQ Sauce
Prepare the Spare Ribs:
- Preparation time: 5 minutes
- Rinse the short ribs off with cold water
- Sprinkle salt lightly all over all sides of each rib
- Place 4 ribs on the NuWave metal stand, spaced evenly
Cook your spare ribs in the NuWave:
Total Cook time: 37-40 Minutes
Cook for 15 minutes
Brush a thin layer of BBQ sauce on the top and the sides
Turn the ribs over (use tongs or a fork to flip over)
Brush a thin layer on the now top side of the rib
Cook for 15 minutes
Brush a thicker coating of BBQ sauce on the ribs
Turn over (use tongs or a fork to flip over)
Brush a thicker layer on the now top side of the rib
Cook for 4 minutes
Turn the ribs over (use tongs or a fork to flip over)
Cook for 3 or 4 more minutes
Caution: It will be very hot, tender, and juicy!
Important notes for you:
When cooking pork, cook until the meat is no longer pink – need to get to 145 F.
Flavor addition idea:
- Prior to placing the ribs in the NuWave, sprinkle your favorite seasoning over the meat!
