Delicious Easy Pumpkin Pie

Nothing better than a delicious easy Pumpkin Pie during the fall. This pie is something the whole family loves!

Ingredients for Pumpkin Pie:

Note: I always add extra eggs for additional moisture (Only need 2, but I add 3)

1 Pie crust – I prefer the Pillsbury pie crusts located in the refrigerated section
3 Large eggs
½ white sugar
2 Cups pumpkin puree
¾ Cup of heavy whipping cream
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
½ Teaspoon Ginger
¼ Teaspoon Cloves
1/3 Cup Light Brown Sugar

Preheat the oven and prepare a cookie sheet:

Preparation 5 minutes
Preheat the oven to 425 F
Get a large cookie sheet and place the pie crust on it so you are ready to go!

Prepare Pumpkin Pie batter:

Preparation 10 minutes
In a large mixing bowl crack your eggs and whisk slightly
Add your white and brown sugar and whisk firmly until smooth
Pour in your pumpkin puree, whipping cream, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and cloves
Stir until well blended
Pour batter into pie crust
Wrap a thin layer of aluminum foil over the edge of the pie to keep the crust from becoming too crunchy

Bake Pumpkin Pie:

Bake time: 50-60 Minutes
I usually only bake one pie at a time set on the middle rack
Bake for 15 minutes
Reduce oven temperature to 375 F
Bake for 35-45 Minutes
For even baking, I recommend that you rotate the pie 1 or 2 times during baking
Stick a toothpick or butter knife into the middle of the pie (Pie is done when the toothpick or knife comes out clean)
When pie is complete, pull out of the oven and let cool on a cooling rack for 2 hours

Order of Operations

Preheat oven to 425 F and prepare cookie sheet
Gather ingredients
Whip eggs and sugar together
Add the rest of your ingredients
Mix until all ingredients are just mixed
Fill pie crust and cover the crust only with aluminum foil
Let rest for 2 hours

  1. Hi Elizabeth,

I love pumpkin and this sounds great.

I like that it’s nice and easy to make because cooking is not my strong point so thanks for the post.

I can’t wait to try this one!

  2. Thank you Elizabeth,
I’m so glad I cam across your site and this post. I was lucky to see it just before Christmas and made it for our family Christmas lunch. My wife was surprised, the family was surprised as I never really cook. But better still they all LOVED IT. It made me so happy to see them want more and our little girl too.
What appealed to me was the EASY and DELICIOUS. Plus I’d always wanted to make pumpkin pie as I keep hearing about it. Your recipe was super easy to follow and the result was 10/10!! Thank you for helping make our Christmas special
